1962 UNSC Election Vote

The period of voting will commence until September 1st 1961 (May 13th 2025 @ 12PM PST) at which time the UNSC Elected Members for 1962 will be announced.

The following countries for the following seats have been nominated. Listed in order of their nominations.

Commonwealth Seat: South Africa, Ghana, Australia, Canada
Latin American Seat: Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile
West Europe and Others Seat: Sweden, Portugal
Eastern Europe and Asia Seat: Yugoslavia, India, Indonesia, Philippines

While the matter of the regional balancing, of these seats, and likely also ought to be consider the historical alignment of these seats has been discussed. As clarified in the nomination process, the United Nations Charter maintains no qualifications for any of the seats and as such, regardless of subjective opinions on the matter, the nominations stand as they are.
