Franco-British Licensing Agreement of 1961

  1. The Fifth French Republic (henceforth mentioned as France) acquires by this agreement the license for the manufacture and installation of the Centurion Mk.5 tank main gun stabilization system (axis stabilizer) on the tanks it develops by its own means.

  2. France undertakes that it will require UK approval for the sale to third parties of any vehicle fitted with this component.

  3. France will pay $1,000,000 USD for this license.
