Indian-Swedish Naval Sale Agreement 1961

  1. The Kingdom of Sweden (henceforth mentioned as Sweden) will supply the Republic of India (henceforth mentioned as India) with 6 Plejad-klass Patrol Boat (FAC).
  2. The Plejad-klass included in this agreement are those numbered with T101, T102, T103, T104, T105 and T106.
  3. All torpedo launching systems, armament and related combat equipment shall be removed in their entirety prior to delivery.
  4. The vessels will be delivered approximately four months from the signing of this agreement, with estimated delivery in July 1961 in a seaworthy condition suitable for patrol and training duties.
  5. The total transfer price for the six vessels, including disarmament and preparation costs, is proposed at 23 million United States dollars.
  6. India will send a team of technicians and engineers to the shipyard at Götaverken, Karlskronavarvet to supervise the dismantling and compliance with the conditions specified in this agreement.
