The Tripartite Pact
The Kingdom of Alpa, Empire of Siliton, and Principality of Portucalense; acknowledging the benefits of mutual cooperation and diplomatic relations; agree to the following terms as a part of this binding treaty. The high contracting parties agree to enforce the articles of this treaty to the best of their ability, and enter into an alliance known as the Tripartite Pact.
I. On Defense of the Combined Realms
The high contracting parties agree to treat an attack against one, as an attack against all. They will in good faith provide aid and assistance to the beleaguered party to the full extent of their ability, including but not limited to: providing direct military assistance, providing humanitarian aid, and providing arms for the defense of the party. Under no circumstances will this article be construed as a requirement to sacrifice the defense of one member for another.
II. On Matters of Militarism and Armies
The high contracting parties agree to aid one another in the development of military tactics and the strengthening of all members armies. Each member agrees to provide assistance to the others in the following manner:
- The Empire of Siliton agrees to provide training within the Empire, and trainers from the Empire, to assist the armies of both Alpa and Portucalense in an effort of standardization and improved training.
- The Kingdom of Alpha agrees to provide knowledge and assistance regarding the field of archery to both the Silitonians and Portucalense.
- The Principality of Portucalense agrees to provide training in the area of maritime traditions to Alpa and Siliton.
III. On Matters of Trade
The high contracting parties agree to extend the protections and privileges of their own traders to the traders of their partners. In addition, the partners agree to encourage traders to operate in all partnered kingdoms, both in the markets of import and export, by ensuring that the tariffs they pay are no more than the tariffs paid by indigenous traders.
In addition, the high contracting parties agreed to the joint construction of trade routes to connect the three lands together, as well as maintenance of said routes. These routes are to feature trade posts one days ride apart from one another, to facilitate traders operating between the lands of the parties.
IV. On Matters of Education and Training
The high contracting parties agree to enter into a partnership on the education of their citizens. Universities within the Kingdoms shall agree to accept students from all partnered kingdoms as equals.
In addition, the Empire of Siliton and Kingdom of Alpa both agree to jointly fund the construction of a University within the Portucalense kingdom, in addition to the construction of a Maritime Academy for the training of sailors. The Portucalense agree to allow Silitonians and Alpese to attend these schools as equals.
V. On Matters of Continued Relations
The high contracting parties agree to establish permanent embassies within the capitals of each party’s kingdoms. This embassy will be staffed with representatives–empowered by their monarchs with the power to negotiate on behalf of their kingdom–whose purpose is to maintain a continuous, diplomatic dialog between the parties.
